Rani Birla Girls’ College is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and student-friendly environment where grievances—academic, administrative, or personal—are addressed with transparency, sensitivity and urgency. The college believes that effective grievance redressal is central to upholding student rights and institutional integrity.

Structured Mechanism

A well-defined Grievance Redressal Mechanism is in place, guided by the principles of natural justice, confidentiality and accountability. The system encourages students to voice their concerns without fear of reprisal.

Key features include:

  1. Grievance Redressal Cell comprising faculty members and administrative staff
  2. Clearly laid-out procedures for lodging complaints
  3. Prompt acknowledgment, review and resolution of issues
  4. Periodic meetings of the Cell to address pending cases and recommend policy improvements

Types of Grievances Handled

  1. Academic issues such as evaluation concerns, attendance discrepancies or teaching quality
  2. Administrative matters including infrastructure, examination-related queries or delay in services
  3. Interpersonal conflicts, cases of harassment, discrimination or mental distress
  4. Suggestions and feedback regarding institutional policies and facilities

Multiple Access Points

  1. Students can submit grievances in writing, through a dedicated drop box on campus or via online form through college official website.
  2. An online grievance portal is also being developed for greater accessibility and prompt tracking.
  3. Matters requiring urgent attention are escalated directly to the Principal or Administrator/Governing Body, depending on the nature of the issue.

Confidentiality and Fairness

  1. All grievances are handled with utmost confidentiality, ensuring that the identity of the complainant is protected. The resolution process is objective and non-discriminatory, adhering to institutional and legal frameworks.

Through its Grievance Redressal System, Rani Birla Girls’ College reinforces its commitment to a just, respectful and student-centric academic environment.
